Authors:
Matthew C. Andrews

What does it mean to be a good person? Can we teach our children to be good people? In this two part series, various notions of morality, justice and contributions to society are explored. Studies in development and education are drawn upon to discuss socialization practices and how it is even possible to learn to be moral. Service learning, character education and other practices designed to encourage our children and teens to contribute to society are also discussed.
