Valeria Amorim Arantes is an Associate Professor in the School of Education of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She has published widely in Brazil about the role of feelings and emotions in learning, youth purpose, moral development and problem-based learning.
Her research interests since 2008 have examined the interactions between values, feelings and youth purpose. More recently, she has been exploring the relationship between purpose and the elderly, which she plans to research as a visiting scholar at the Center on Adolescence.
